FREEDOM - You've heard me talk of Freedom before and how it was born in 1918 as a result of the Waynoka-Buffalo Railroad up the Cimarron Valley. If it hadn't been for the courageous pioneers (W. W. Vincent and A. T. Walker) that undertook construction of the Railroad with their own resources and later sold to Santa Fe Railroad when work progressed as far as Freedom, Freedom may never have been born.

A Prairie of Dreams
NW Okie wrote this back in September 2, 1999, "A Prairie of Dreams (Castles of NW Oklahoma)."

Pioneer Prairie Dreamers, Part II
NW Okie wrote this in September 9, 1999, "Pioneer Prairie Dreamers, Part II (History of Runnymede Arms)."
Looking back at the history of our Oklahoma pioneers I am finding that the dreams of the neighboring states to the north and all around us have played a significant and historical roll in the northwestern counties of Oklahoma.
