NW Okie's Corner

It's been one week since this NW Okie had a large mass removed from her left ovary and a complete hysterectomy. It all done via laparoscopic robotic surgery, and removing it via the vagina. Laparoscopic cuts the recovery time in half (about 1-3 weeks). Thank goodness for Obamacare, Medicare and AARP. Otherwise I would not have been able to afford it and get it removed.

Grant County Kansas Towns

Zionville, Grant County, Kansas

Zionville, Kansas was located on Section 16, Township 30, Range 37, established in 1885. M. M. Wilson was one of the early settlers and erected a store building which became the center of activity of the town. Sunday school and church services were held in the Wilson home.

Duchess of Weaselskin

It was great to see my human pull in the driveway at noon on Sunday after being gone a whole week. Me and Sawdust Sadie were running wide circles around our human's return. I know she missed us as much as we missed her. Maybe even more so.

Establishment Of Towns (Grant County Kansas)

Some of the towns you might have come across in Grant county, Kansas, were Zionville, Golden, Shockey, Gognac, Surprise, Lawson, Waterford, and Cincinnati. The old town site of Cincinnati, later Appomattox, is marked by the farm of Henry Miller.
