The outlook for a good base ball season is exceptionally good this year. There is a large number of the old men back and a number of new men have come in, who are expected to make a good showing. The team was rather late getting started to work this year, but nevertheless it is expected that Coach Wyatt will whip the boys into shape in a very short while. The student body this year is back of the team with more pep and enthusiasm than ever before. Ranger Album 1917 NSN Junior Class

Another was the reception given by the Sophomores in honor of the victorious Rangers, three of whom are Sophomores. Ranger Album 1917 NSN Freshmen Class
The following were the Northwestern State Normal Freshmen Class Officers in 1917. Since the days when we were verdant "B's" this class has been a quiet but potent factor in Northwestern. We are not given to boasting for we know that self praise is half scandal. However, we have lost much of our verdancy and in this year in Northwestern, we have shown the other people that we are able to do something. Castle On The Hill & Noah's Ark No. 2
