With Memorial Day and memories upon us all, I have been researching Memorial day and for the origins of "Taps" in the old newspapers online. Here is to the memories of all veterans of wars, first responders, firefighters, public service workers and volunteers who have given of their time and their life. One Hundred Years Ago - 27 May 1913

There was some excitement as we woke up the morning of 24th May 2013, after a big bear visited our "Bird Diner" at the north end of Vallecito Reservoir, North of Bayfield, Colorado. In Cambridge, England, May 26, 1910, former President was honored by Cambridge University with undergraduates in evidence.
