Looking For Lookout On "Ask Jeeves"...

"Found you by Ask Jeeves! Looking for Lookout, Oklahoma! I enjoyed your site, and can't seem to get enough of it! I have kinfolk that is to be buried in Lookout Cemetery, and my husband and I were able to make the trip out to walk it all, drive the countryside. Very Beautiful, and breathe takin! I took several photos while we were there, and would more than happy share anything that I have taken. I would love to learn more of Lookout. I have several old homestead photos I would love to know who they belonged to in the Lookout area. I also have photos of the Coy Schoolhouse / church, and also a church / school house near Lookout Cemetery, but never learned the name of it. I also got photos in the Lookout Cemetery of (if anyone is interested in copies let me know):
Phillip George Uhl (infant); Dollie M. Wood; Virgil D. Wood; Vernon G. Wood; Henry Mershall (very hard to read); Floyd O. Readman; J. E. Readman (James Ellsworth Readman); Jackie Eugene Wood; Frankie E. Uhl; Phillip G. Uhl; E.G. and Sarah A. Castle; Sallie Chesnut; and some photos that are just unusual.

We were there looking for the Mitchell line (Martin Luther Mitchell was to be buried in Lookout). We were very surprised to find our Readman's there as well. Thanks for posting Lookout (Oklahoma)!!! I didn't think anyone knew of the town that once was! A place that is so beautiful, and so softly spoken! A true piece of pride." -- Nettie - Email: kingri@valuelinx.net
