Duchess of Weaselskin
As I lay me down to sleep... there seems to be a weight on my back! LOL... If it ain't that Sadie pug! That puppy plops down anywhere. That's my life! Whether it be in SW Colorado or NW Oklahoma, I have this little black shadow that stays glued to me. She tags along just like a little sister following along after an older sister. AND... wouldn't you know it! That NW Okie always seems to have some sort of camera to catch those precious moments of this Duchess & Sadie.
With Okie's passion & hard drive for preserving a bit of NW Oklahoma history and this Pug's drive, we make a pretty good team! It is our passion(s) that drive us to succeed in whatever we might venture into. As Okie's sister might say, "Together we can make a difference!"
Okie gets her inspiration, passion from her big sister (Dorthy). Some of you might remember a DoRight Dynamite Democrat by the name of Dorthy (3D-Dorthy). She always has been before her time. AND... always seems to make only the best impact & difference in the lives she touches. AND... She's the sister of our NW Okie!
How did we get into this anyway? Oh Yeah! Passion & Inspiration! We always need your help, passion to preserve our heritage. THANKS to Y'all for letting us (NW Okie, Sadie and myself) come into your lives with our FREE Weekly "OkieLegacy Ezine."
IF it ... makes a difference -- makes a connection -- Inspires others to preserve a piece of the past, then our drive & passion has a purpose. Preserving those things we sometimes take for granted and don't realize what we have until they are no longer there. Perhaps those precious landmarks and memories of our past can be discovered here for others in the OkieLegacy archives. We hope that this Pug writer and her sidekicks, NW Okie & Sadie, have made some sort of an impact, difference in your lives -- inspiring others to do the same!
Before we send you "Back to the Future" of 1920, Does anyone out there remember when Ben Harrover & Pat Treece had a hardware store on the North side of the "square" for about 25 years? The reason we asked is because we heard from the daughter of Harrover that passed along that information through our OkieLegacy Guestbook. Don't forget... You can leave your "Comments" after each feature and emails are optional.
Enjoy this week's trip "Back to the Future - 1920!"
