1926 NSTC Yearbook - The Library

William A. Ranck, A.B. – Northwestern takes pride in the fact that “Bill” was a true Ranger and the product of her training. In addition to his official position as librarian he had full charge of the courses in sociology and was fast becoming the most popular instructor in the college. He received his degree from Northwestern in 1922 and completed advanced study in the University of Colorado.

The Library - One of the greatest assets of the Northwestern State Teachers College was the library, which was unequalled by that of any other institution of its size in the Southwest. It offered unusual facilities, as it had both an adequate collection of books and a beautiful spacious reading room. Over 30,000 books were available. There were no library dues and the pleasant new quarters were conducive to long hours in the reading rooms.
