The final result of the long litigation over the Cornelius B. Kouwenhoven farm was the entering of a judgment of foreclosure and sale, to pursuance of which the property would be sold at auction by Auctioneer William H. Smith. The sale would take place in the Real estate exchange at noon on February 27, 1911. The sale had been authorized by Referee John J. Fitzgerald, who took testimony in the case of the Midwood Park Company against the numerous defendants who had some interest in the property.
