1933 - Card Signer "Floyd" Denies Murders
It was in the El Paso Herald -Post, El Paso, TX, dated 21 June 1933, Wednesday, page 1, we found this short article: "Card Signer 'Floyd' Denies Murders." They think the Missouri message was from hunted desperado.

Kansas City, MO., June 21 (1933) -- A postal card signed "Charles Floyd" was received by Kansas City police on that date denying that the notorious Oklahoma outlaw, Charles (Pretty Boy) Floyd, participated int eh Union Station massacre in Kansas City, Missouri.
The card bearing his name mailed at Springfield said Floyd did not participate in Massacre.They believe it to be genuine.
The message read:
"Kansas City Police Department: Dear Sir -- I, Charles Floyd, want it known that I did not participate in the massacre of officers at Kansas City. Charles Floyd."
