1909 - Mrs. G. W. Conover dead at 67 Years
It was in the Trenton Evening Times, Trenton, New Jersey, dated 13 September 1909, Monday, page 13, that we found this obituary for Mrs. Nellie H. Conover, wife of George W. Conover: "Mrs. G. W. Conover Dead At 67 Years." Great Grandfather was early settler in New Jersey.

Hightstown, Sept. 12 (1909) -- Mrs. Nellie H. Conover, wife of George W. Conover, died at her home Saturday, after an illness of nearly a month Mrs. Conover was in the sixty-seventh year of her age.
Mrs. Conover was a resident of this city for a number of years,a nd is survived by her husband and one son, Dr. Harvey Grover, of Brooklyn. She was member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. The funeral services would be held at the residence, No. 308 Stockton Street, Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. I. S. Yerks will officiate. The interment will be made at the Dutch Neck Church yard.
Mrs. Conover's early days were spent near Edinburg. She was the daughter of the late David and Margaret Hill, and a direct descendant from Wolfert Gerret Van Couwenhoven, who came to this country from Amersfoort, in the Province of Utrecht, Holland, in the car 1630, and settled in the town of Rensslaerwick near that is now Albany. Mrs. Conover's great grandfather came to New Jersey and at one time, together with Garret Schenck, owned the whole of West Windsor Township, which they bought of the descendants of William Penn.
