March, 1915 - Frost, Snow Blizzards In 14 States
In The Guthrie Daily Leader, dated 22 March 1915, Monday, we discovered that frost, snow and blizzards were reported in fourteen states Sunday, 1915.
Snow fell in fourteen states Sunday, reaching as far south as Salem, Alabama and Meridian, Mississippi. A slight snow covered the extreme northwestern portion of Oklahoma.
Fair weather was promised for the week beginning March 21, 1915, in Oklahoma and Texas. The temperature went to 18 degrees Sunday night of March 21, 1915.
