NW Okie's Journey
Well! Finally! We were fortunate to see some white winter snow showing up in southwest Colorado. A little late, but much needed. See the photograph on the right as it piles high on our tundra pickup, which was transformed into a monster truck while hidden under more than 28-inches of snowpack. Can find it.
We decided to hunt up and include some old 1910 news clippings of Alva, Oklahoma's 1910 Old Opera House Murder, which you can also read our transcription of the huge jury trial of 1911, as well as the old news clippings we researched. Also, there is a timeline that we put together. It is still questionable in this NW Okie's mind if N. L. Miller was put on trial for the murder or an alleged affair with Mable Oakes. I'm still not satisfied that Miller was guilty as charged.
We included two old clippings with this OkieLegacy ezine/tabloid to get you started researching and deciding for yourself if Miller was guilty or innocent.
Good Night! Good Luck!
