NW Okie's Journey
Well! Plans for returning to Colorado got laid back a few days. It appears an unknown driver allegedly backing in or out of an alley neighbors lot did a hit and run on our gas meter the end of last week (Thursday evening). Yep! They allegedly backed into our gas meter that was out at the alley, breaking our side of the gas line leading into the house.
We called the fire department because of the leaking gas line, and they in turned called Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG). Hoping Monday and Tuesday of this week we can get some heat back before the next cold front comes through Wednesday.
We have not had heat to house and water tank for the last few days. Cold showers only around here. Thank goodness for the 70 degree weather that came in this weekend. We have delayed our return to Southwest Colorado until after we get the gas re-hooked.
Meanwhile, we are continuing to add past history and legacies into our OkieLegacy database for easy searching. This week we are working on Logan county, Oklahoma information and some information concerning the Wandell family legacies.
Next week we will start on the Major county history and legacies, and especially, Tailholt (Chester), Oklahoma. If you have some interesting legacies you would like to share, send them to NW Okie at the email listed at the end of this newsletter. Thanks!
Good Night! Good Luck!
