NW Okie's Journey

As we arrive into February 2015, we find Monday, February 2 in Northwest Oklahoma (Alva) came in chilly, sunny when the groundhog peeked his sleepy head out of his underground home on "Groundhog Day."

You know what that means don't you? As the Scottish legend goes, if the sun appears, there'll be two winters in one year. Read more about the Groundhog day legend in this week's newsletter.

We are continuing putting the Oklahoma counties we researched, gathered over the last few years into our OkieLegacy database newsletter. This week we are including legacies of Lincoln county and the Sac & Fox Tribes of Oklahoma.

We are still in northwest Oklahoma for another week while we continue a makeover on our home in Alva, Oklahoma. Just finishing up the kitchen area today after laying a new floor surface. Well! My fantastic husband did most of the work laying the wood paneling floor in our 70+ year old home.
