Walking With Sadie
Over the Thanksgiving holidays we captured on video, dated November 27-30, 2014, the Vallecito Raccoon's Playground, at the north end of Vallecito Reservoir, in Southwest Colorado. The rascally rascals have been regulars at their favorite Vallecito Raccoon playground this year. We have included a merged, speeded up version of their nightly activities that occur between the hours of midnight to four o'clock a.m. each night.
Since we took away their climbing logs, they (raccoons) no longer can they jump high enough to reach the hanging bird feeders. Now they just scurry along the ground gathering leftover fallen seeds, etc. that the birds and squirrels have dropped during the day. I guess you could call the raccoons the "nightly cleaning crew." They come in and vacuum up the crumbs.
Good Night & Good Luck!
