NW Okie's Journey
Good Morning from this one year, "stage1a breast cancer" survivor (15 November 2013, mastectomy). I consider myself lucky that I caught it in the early stages with a mammogram September, 2013. There were no lymph nodes infected, and I did not have to go through chemo. I was a good candidate for taking a little pill (letrozole) daily for next five years.
It has been a chilly day in Southwest San Juan Forests, near Vallecito Lake, North of Bayfield, Colorado. The sun has been shining for the last couple of days. The higher elevations above 8500 feet got the most snow. The photo on the left was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel SL1 camera with a 55-250 zoom lens this last Sunday afternoon on my daily walk at the North end of Vallecito Reservoir.
The mountains block the wind where we are, but looking up at the mountain peak you can see the wind shifting the snow around it's peak. It (snow and Mother Nature) makes for great photography shoots, huh?
I love seeing the snow embracing the Rocky mountaintops, pine trees.
The National Weather Service shows "well below normal temps across the East and Great Lakes with snow expected through midweek."
Grand Junction weather service was speaking about a moderately wet el nino Winter for our area of Colorado.
Good Night & Good Luck researching your Roots!
