Walking With Sadie
I am kind of glad I don't have to keep up with that NW Okie as she walks those golden autumn trials at Vallecito Campground. My favorite pastime is snuggling on her bed and keeping it warm for when she does settle down to pet on this "Lady Sadie" Pug.
This digital photograph was taken with NW Okie's Canon EOS Rebel SL1 100D camera. The Dead tree stump barely hangs in the embankment along the roadway of County Road 500, westside of Vallecito Lake. Don't you just love how the dead tree's graceful roots stretch out along the embankment, adding an artistic influence to the roadside?
NW Okie is working on a slideshow of the images she has been capturing of the Autumn changes around Vallecito Reservoir, North of Bayfield, Colorado, and the trails she walks daily at the Vallecito campground at the north end of CR 500. Hope you enjoy our golden aspens and reddish, oak shubberies that dot our Rocky mountains.
You can view the photos individually at Picasaweb Album - 2014 October Autumn At Vallecito, then click the Slideshow menu at top of that page to view slideshow of Autumn at Vallecito.
Garage Sale Find
You all have probably seen the movie, The Great Gatsby, but have you read the book? The book was copyrighted back in 1925, by Charles Scribner's Sons; and a renewal copyright, in 1953, by Frances Scott Fitzgerald Lanahan. This is NW Okie's "garage sale" find for 25-cents, near Durango, Colorado, last Saturday. It is in good condition, also. Would this be considered a second printing of first edition? Or what?
NW Okie has been busy searching for information concerning Salt Springs, in Northwestern Oklahoma, located on the Selman Guest Ranch, in Harper County. On the map it looks to be 20-plus miles north of Woodward, and a few miles East of Buffalo, Oklahoma, along Highway 64.
