NW Okie's Journey
Besides getting back into walking the trails just north of us at Vallecito Reservior, in the Rocky mountains of Southwest Colorado, spend some of my computer time searching back to 1914, World War I and it's beginning.
The image on the left is a view of Vallecito River up north of us in the San Juan National Forest camp grounds. The campgrounds keep busy this time of year.
As I said earlier, we are again researching 1914, the beginning of World War I, the Ottoman Empire and how the Western world became so involved in the Middle East. As we look back to the Ottoman Empire, 29 October 1914, and the Middle East in World War I we find many interesting facts about the "Blood and War" of 1914.
Check out this week's OkieLegacy Weekly Ezine/Tabloid for more information. It was all about Oil even back to 1914.
Remember this by Rep. John Lewis, Civil Rights legend, "The Right To Vote is the most powerful NON-Violent tool we have in a Democracy."
Help get out the Vote, November, 2014!
Good Night & Good Luck!
