The Territorial Normal School, Edmond, Oklahoma (1901)
It was in The Beaver Herald, dated 10 October 1901, front page, that we found the news article entitled, The Territorial Normal School, Edmond, Oklahoma. It was report in about the term opening September 10th, 1901. This Normal institution was offering superior advantages for thorough education and training.
They were also reporting that all members of the faculty were specially trained for their departments. Laboratories were excellent: Chemical, Physical, Biological and Physiological.
There was also an excellent library, free to all students tuition was free in all departments, and expense for room and board was low. The moral tone of the school was beyond question. Parents could safely entrust their boys and girls to this institution. The president of the Normal School in Edmond, was Fuzderick H. Umholtz.
