NW Okie's Journey
We continue our breast cancer journey for the next few months as we recuperate from mastopexy of left breast and silicone implant in right breast. Everything is healing nicely, as the right breast has no sensations and the uplifted left breast is healing and itching like crazy.
We have one last surgery (July 14, 2014), reconstruction of right nipple in three or four months before we settle down and continue our first year of breast cancer remission and celebration on November 15, 2014, as we continue taking our hormone, estrogen inhibitor (Letrozole) for the next five years. No Chemo needed so far!
I have also got to spend some quality time with a long lost friend and sister, her son (my godson) in Houston, Texas during my breast cancer journey. Thanks, Ellen and Stewart for being there for this NW Okie and her journey these last few months.
I am thankful for the Affordable Care Act, Medicare and my AARP/Unitedcare Supplemental that has covered the doctors, surgeries, medicines, etc. Otherwise, I would never have been able to take care of the mammogram findings early enough.
Night & Good Luck!
