NW Okie's Journey
Sometimes the waiting around is the worst! Sometimes you just want to get the show on the road and get things taken care of. Sometimes you also find ways to pamper yourself, getting a new hairdo is one of those pamperings I have done in the past few weeks.
Last week we finally got pre-registration at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital, in Houston, Texas, for breast cancer surgery (mastectomy) and breast reconstruction, for 15 November, early in the morning. But the day before (14 November) we get one last test (Sentinel node injection) to check the sentinel node for possible cancer. If that test is negative, then no nodes will be removed. Otherwise, those infected nodes turning blue will be removed. Here is hoping that the nodes of free of cancer.
Got good news Saturday that David and youngest son will be driving down to Houston before surgery, arriving the afternoon of the 14th November. Oldest son will be here Friday.
Good Night & Good Luck throughout your Life!
