Duchess of Weaselskin
It has warmed up a bit here in the southwest rockies of Colorado. How does your garden grow? NW Okie's li'l flowering garden spot built around a huge stump of a ponderosa pine, in the Rocky Mountains, of Southwest Colorado, North of Bayfield, is a work in progress as you can see in the photo image on the left. The statute and birdbath are on separate little solar panels. The old green water pump on the right side is powered by electric pump that recycles the flow of water from round bowl to and from old green pump. Keeping the plants sprayed with a "hot pepper wax" spray to keep the chipmunks, squirrels and ground squirrels from eating the foliage is a full-time procedure. Sadie does once in awhile chase a few ground squirrels off and up the mountainside, occasionally.
Fifty years ago today, 10 June 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act. Women are still working for equal pay in the present, 2013.
