Duchess of Weaselskin
We heard from someone this last week whose family album had the same photo of Peter and Robert Warwick that was taken in McPherson, Kansas between 1885 and 1893.
It amazes me to once in awhile running across someone
out there that makes a connection from the past.
Kevin Spain Fansler commented on The Okie Legacy, Vol. 11, Iss 43, concerning out feature, "Insight Into Grandma & Warwick's."
Fanlser stated, "I was excited when I saw the photo of Peter and Robert Warwick taken in Kansas. My grandmother Mary Hulda Tomlinson had the very same photo in her album. I had supposed that the two gentlemen were two other brothers who lived near them and subsequently moved into the Fay , Oklahoma community. This photo could have been taken anytime between 1885 and 1893. Henry Morgan Tomlinson, I think, moved to Coldwater, Kansas and shortly thereafter moved to near McPherson, Kansas according to the census of 1885. Most of the family left the McPherson area in 1893. My grandmother must have been very good friends with John and Pete, else she would not have included them in her album."
You can view the Tomlinson album. This is our OkieLegacy Warwick album on Google.
