It was around 2:22:05a.m., MDT, March 17, 2013 that we caught one of the gangster raccoon sauntering up our south driveway for an early morning snack of picked over birdseeds that had been dropped to the ground earlier in the day.

On our "Gangster of Raccoon" watch the past few days, we have video of some "real raccoon swingers & tree climbers" as they were caught in the act of jumping from a stump, and swinging on the hanging bird feeder. There is also a another raccoon sneaking up on two raccoons dining under the tree. Watch what happens after that.



At one point around 4am MDT this same morning, 17 March 2013, I counted at least four in this "gangster of raccoons."

Sammy Eugene Paris (1924-2013)

On a sad note tonight I have some news of the passing of the last of the Ernest & Mary Paris Siblings, Sammy Eugene Paris (1924-16 Mar 2013). I just received an email from Tammy Paris (wife of Sam Paris, son of Sammy Eugene Paris) concerning the passing of Sammy Eugene Paris, March 16, 2013 in the loving embrace of his granddaughter Sheena Paris-Collins arms.

Tammy found my information in the Paris Times binder, that I had made for him, which Uncle Sammy really appreciated. Tammy also mentioned that he often spoke of my mother (Vada) and loved her very much. The week prior to his passing, Tammy walked into his room and Sammy asked if she had brought Vada with her.

Sammy Eugene Paris was born 15 April 1924, in Oklahoma. He married Cecelia Mae Snyder (deceased) and they had a son, Sam.

Sammy Eugene Paris' funeral is set for Saturday, March 23, 2013 @11:00 am, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint, Idaho. His obituary will be in the Sandpoint Daily Bee online this Thursday.

Tammy did mentioned that Sammy was a great person with a happy, go lucky personality. Tammy said you are welcome to call her anytime. send me an email or Facebook message and I will give you her telephone number.
