100 Years Ago Today - 3 December 1912
In the year 1912, one hundred years ago, we had the sinking of the Titanic and numerous lives lost and women and wives left alone as their spouses went down with the ship. How many Titanic babies were born that year?
Another Titanic Baby was born in December, 1912, making it the third baby born to widows of the Titanic disaster. As we read through the New York Tribune, dated Tuesday, December 3, 1912, out of New York we found at least three babies born to widow's of the Titanic disaster.
Cleveland, Dec. 2, 1912 -- "A telegram of congratulations from Mrs. John Jacob Astor today was received by Mrs. Adele Nasrallah, a member of the local Syrian colony, who was widowed by the Titanic disaster and has just become a mother. Hers is the third Titanic baby, the second being the child born to Mrs. Lucien P. Smith, in Cincinnati, Friday. The third Titanic baby is a girl."
