NW Okie's Old Pine Stump flowerbed keeps growing and changing with new additions and plantings. At least until we get it to an aesthetic balance of plantings and old recyclable items, which add different textures and colors to our mountain "zen" (meditating) flowerbed.

g Boy howdy! Was NW Okie pissed at the ground squirrel who has burrowed underneath her planter in the greenhouse. Of the three red tomatoes starting to ripen the last few days, by evening there was only one and a half left on the vine. I hope he got his belly full and ran away and . . . . .!

You know how the GOP of today does not like progressives. Well! has The GOP forgotten about one hundred years ago in June (1912) when their party split in their ranks after their National Convention when they nominated their regulars, President Taft and Sherman. And some of the disenfranchised GOP party that were followers of Roosevelt turned around a few days later and formed their own independent progressive party (a.k.a. the Bull Moose party) with Col. Theodore Roosevelt (former president) as their chosen progressive presidential candidate.

Of course, that split helped the Democrats and Wilson in the election that year. Is this why the GOP carries such a grudge against progressives? NAH! That is an awful long to carry a grudge, you would think. It has to be something more, huh?

Stop the Obstructionism of the GOP Congress! Where are the Jobs, Boehner?
