While Oklahoma was rumbling with college football games and earthquakes this weekend, the San Juan mountains, in southwest Colorado near Vallecito Reservoir was getting eight inches of snow the whole day of Saturday, 5 November 2011. Wolf Creek Ski Resort reported getting another 12 inches added to their snow base.

Also . . . Did you know that 7 November 1893 was a bright spot for women with the passage of a referendum that made Colorado the first state to grant women the right to vote. I knew Colorado was a great state, but did not realize it was the first state to grant women the right to vote. Way to go, Colorado!
