One of our readers sent us some items that appeared in Renfrews Record, dateline - Dec. 12, 1913, Alva, Oklahoma. You can read about these items in the Mailbag Corner, below. BUT.... Have you ever heard about the time Charlie Bower was charged for murder in Cherokee, Oklahoma for the murder of his best friend, Jay French, near Ashley, Oklahoma? We think it might have occurred November, 1912.
