Nickels Home Restoration

Bill left a comment under the Nickels Home Restoration progress last week. Maybe some of you have seen it already. For those who did not, we have included it here.

Bill Barker says, "Good to hear this icon of Alva is being restored. It's always been my dream home ever since I knew of it's existence. During the 30s when it was vacant I used to slip in the house and wander through it. I remember marveling at the huge fire place in the basement and the murals on the walls. I also have fond memories of Evelyn, a grade lower at AHS. Ah, as the late great Archie Bunker was fond of saying, 'Those were the days.'
