28 Old Anadarko Telephone Books On Disc (PDF Format)

Are you looking for ancestors that were in the Anadarko, Oklahoma area? If so, you might check into the CD discs in a PDF format that will enable you to both view and print any of the 1,139 pages. N. Dale Talkington (Email: anadarkoaggie@gmail.com) says, "Over the past several months Wahnne and Rosemarie Clark, and I have been collecting old Anadarko phone books from 1903 to 1960.

"They are now all scanned onto CD discs in a PDF format that will enable you to both view and print any of the 1,139 pages. You will even be able to copy and email pages to friends and relatives.

"The years included are 1903, 1908, 1910, 1927, 1929, 1932, 1935, 1936, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947 1948, 1950, 1952, 1953, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, and 1960. "The many classified advertising pages are another source of rare and interesting information. Many business listings include the names of managers and owners. The 1958 directory includes listings from Binger and Fort Cobb, while the 1959 book only added Binger. In 1960 only Fort Cobb was included.

"To my knowledge a collection of this type has never been attempted before. The cost of a hard-bound printed copy of these 1,139 pages would range from $173 to $258.
