Chad Haspels, Sculptor, Expressionism in Wood

Besides Sheep & Parades, there were food, craft booths set up in the park where we gathered to eat, watch sheep shearing and see the wool and wood crafts of the area.

Everyone knows that I have this thing for Eagles. So... when I was strolling through the park in Bayfield after the Sheep Trailing experience, I spotted this great SW Colorado expressionism in wood sculpture of an eagle (on the left). I couldn't resist adding it to my collection, because this particular piece was carved out of wood taken from the Missionary Ridge fire of 2002. The Scupltor is Chad Haspels [email: cjhaspels@yahoo.com, (970 264-2009)]. Haspels studio is located on the San Juan River near Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This other great expressionism in wood sculpture on the right now sets on the end table in our living room.
