Cleaning Old Iron Toys
Sandie suggests, "Linda, what a fantastic find! The old toys look really good. I suggest that you contact the Colorado Historical Society or a good museum about how to clean the toys. We had pros clean our artifacts for display at the museum, but I don't know what they used! A non-professional suggested WD-40, and that might work, but I haven't tried it. At my cousin's estate auction, his iron toys certainly brought more than $30. They were sold individually."
