Man who invented 'Okie' dies in California
"This is too late maybe for the Okie Thread, but until I became acquainted with Richard Reddick, I had no clue this is why we are called Okies. Richard is also a list owner to the Daly site. Ben Reddick who coined the Okie title is the father of Richard Reddick a great friend of mine. Richard also was the editor of the Paso Robles Daily Press, the same paper his dad owned.
