Red Rock Canyon NCA
Sand dunes frozen in time near Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Red Rock Canyon was designated as Nevada's first National Conservation Area. Red Rock Canyon is located 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip on Charleston Boulevard/State Route 159. The area is 195,819 acres.
The scenic drive through Red Rock Canyon is oneway. You enter through an entrance for a fee of $6 and Calico II, Sandstone quarry, high point overlook with elevation of 4,721 feet, Lost Creek turnoff, Red Rock wash, Pine Creek Canyon trailhead, and finally coming back around to hwy 159 intersection.
