Vernon Case (married Clara Hurt) -- "Hello! Great website! I think one of my relatives married into the Hurt family - Vernon Case, son of Oscar, married Clara Hurt. Oscar was the son of James and Nancy McKinnis Case. Oscar age 3 was living with his parents/family in 1870 Jackson Co., OH." -- Nancy

Family Ties -- "My grandmother was raised near Avard from 1905-1921. She married and moved with her husband who worked for the Frisco. She received her teaching degree from the Avard school and went on to have eight children. She passed on her love of reading to me and I have passed all her life lessons on to my kids.
