We gathered this information from the Alva Pioneer newspaper published in Woods County (M County), in northwest Oklahoma Territory, dated October 6, 1905, Friday.
Abbie (O.T.) Items -- "35 miles northwest of Alva. Medcalf was threshing through this part of the country last week.
Mr Walcott paused through here with another bunch of cattle on his way to Kiowa, where he shipped them to Kansas City. This is the second shipment of cattle Mr. Walcott has made lately.
Clarence Bates is in his kaffir corn harvesting it; he has a fine crop.
James Birdsel is getting his broom corn ready to haul away to market. As James Birdsel was walking down the canyon east of Sidney Nokes place, he picked up the under jaw of a human skelteton, soprosed be an indian.
Emil Oreber has started his beef wagon.
Mrs. Harkreader has gone to Miss Ouri on a visit and to send her little girl to school. Will be gone for the winter.
Mr. Lemon is cutting pririe hay on Clarence Bates' farm.
Thomas Ross, of Whitehorse raised some fine tobacco as I ever saw grow in Missouri, Kentucky or Arkansas. The writer has been in all of those places and saw tobacco growing."
