Duchess Corner
Welcome to the southwest valley of Colorado! That Pug relaxing on the front patio swing is me, Duchess Rose! Before you got here you probably saw Sadie and me snoozing in that same swing on the OkieLegacy teaser page.
While we have been experiencing the dry, mid-80s during the day and cooler evening temperatures here in southwest Colorado, we hear that Oklahoma has been having some tornado watches and lots of rain. Some Oklahoman's are saying, "Rain ... Rain ... Go Away!"
Our gas prices have dropped a couple of cents since last week to $3.539 in Bayfield, Colorado. We hear that Oklahoman's have seen regular unleaded gas prices at $3.019. That is what our diesel prices are at the pump here in Bayfield, Co.
We hope the rain stopped in time for Alva's Arts Festival this weekend. If anyone out there happens to get some photo opportunities during the Arts Festival, send them along this way to share.
We understand that Alva, Oklahoma has a new mural being painted in the courtyard of the renovated Runnymede Hotel in downtown Alva, Oklahoma, depicting Oklahoma Statehood of 1907. There was a hamburger fry held Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at the Runnymede Hotel on 4th Street, in Alva, OK. Can't wait to see the new mural!
