Route 66 & Elk City, OK

On my way to Oklahoma I took the southern route through Tucumcari, Route 66 to I40 and towards Elk City, Oklahoma where you can find the "Route 66 Museum."

have driven by Elk City, Oklahoma several times between here and there saying, "Some day I'm going to check this Route 66 Museum out." So... this time I did stop and got some digital movies and stills of Elk City's historical museum.

Before we head out of here and retire for this late Sunday night in OKC, has anyone ever heard of (or about) Alva, Oklahoma's Cigar Factory of 1915? A lady sent the Waynoka Historical Society an inquiry concerning the cigar factory in Alva during 1915 where her grandfather and great-grandfather worked while living in Alva. If you have any information, we would love to hear from you. Thanks for everything... especially your patience and understanding while this NW Okie takes to the road!
