Friday the 13th Weather
Well! Did you survive the strange weather that befell Oklahoma on Friday the 13th?
While there were storm warnings in the southern half of the state, the northern parts were experiencing blowing snows. We hear that Alva, in the northwest parts received an inch of snow, but it melted fast.
Thank goodness I left southwest Colorado on Wednesday and missed traveling across New Mexico and Texas on Friday's storms. That doesn't mean that I didn't experience some of it. Actually, some might say that this NW Okie brought the cool, snow behind her. AND... Saturday it really poured down rain on Saturday in Shawnee, Oklahoma while we spent the whole day at the Horse Expo Center. It was Good Luck on Saturday when this NW Okie got to meet one of our OkieLegacy Subscribers. Thanks, Jan, for stopping by Clark's horses at Shawnee, OK.
For the next few days I will be browsing through the newspaper microfilm archives at the Oklahoma History Center. If anyone out there has something they want looked up, let me know. Just give me an approximately date, place and incident you are looking.
Recently someone asked me to jot down 20 things that gives you energy to do the things you do. I have never really thought about it, but only just keeping on doing what I do. Are you a high energy person using certain things to create energy to accomplish what you do? Can you list up to 20 things that give you energy?
