Like Good Pizza?

"KERI'S BREAKFAST PIZZA (by - Keri Weuste) Makes 12 servings
1 package (8 regular or 6 large) refrigerated dough for crescent rolls
1 pound of ground sausage
12 ounces (3 cups) grated Monterey Jack or Colby Jack Cheese
2-3 Tbsp chopped green bell pepper (about 1/4 of a medium bell pepper)
4 large eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

1. Brown sausage, drain and set aside to cool.
2. Spray 9 X 13, baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. Unroll crescent rolls and press into pan to form crust. Go up the edge of the pan about -inch.
3. Sprinkle ground sausage evenly over crust, then top with grated cheese and green pepper.
4. Beat eggs and milk together and add oregano and pepper. Make sure when adding oregano that you awaken the flavor of the spice by rubbing it between your palms before putting into egg mixture.
5. Gently pour egg mixture over sausage and cheese.
6. Bake for 18-20 minutes at 375 or until eggs are set and edges are browned.
7. Allow baked pizza to rest for at least 10 minutes before cutting.

This recipe can be prepared the night before. Complete steps 1 thru 3 and cover baking pan with foil or plastic wrap. Prepare egg mixture and store in covered plastic container. Keep the sausage mixture and egg mixture separated until you are ready to bake. As oven is preheating, gently pour egg mixture over the breakfast pizza, then bake. This recipe is easy to increase for a crowd. Multiply 4 times to fill a sheet-cake-sized pan for 48 servings. When preparing 48 servings I use 18 eggs."
