Snow & Gas Prices In Perry, OK...
"After the many prayers for rain on Sunday, we got snow Monday night! Here in Perry (Oklahoma) the official amount was the same as my estimate which was 2" (someone erroneously reported 7" to the media). Lamont (west of Tonkawa) received 10" and Nardin (about 10 miles northeast of them) got 13". It's not enough to get us out of the wildfire danger yet, but it helps. With the return of sunshine and warmer weather, the snow's gone again but was a welcome relief. Our gasoline prices are back down to $2.16.9 today from last weeks $2.22.9.
I noticed on Wednesday (this week) that the prices for regular unleaded at the pumps had jumped up another 6-cents to reach $2.19.9, and today they raised them again. This time the bottom price is $2.22.9! I wonder now if we're headed back towards that $3.00 mark, and I also wonder what their excuse is this time? They'd already shown that they've been having record high profits. Have they decided to see just how much gouging the public will stand for? 'Tiz a puzzlement (as the king said in the play and movie, "The King and I")." -- Roy
