Duchess & Sadie speak, "This time last year (January 15, 2005) we were showing you snow scenes from from the San Juan mountains in SW Colorado. So... Hope you all don't mind viewing these pair-o'-pugs mugshots again this week!"
With the High front that has been lingering over New Mexico and Colorado for the last few months of 2005 and into 2006 our normal snowfall is way behind -- about 60+ inches or so. All those snowstorms have pushed northward and eastward. It seems DRY with a lot of static electricity! Our temps drop down into the 20's during the the night and in the mid-40's during the day!
We did hear that parts of Oklahoma finally got a taste of that white snow early this week. Sounds like the northern and eastern parts got the most. Maybe that moisture will help out the fires that have been ravaging that part of the state for the last few weeks.
SW Colorado's gas prices in Durango this weekend ranged from $2.30-$2.37 for unleaded gas. Sounds like parts of Oklahoma's gas prices near Perry, Oklahoma are creeping up to SW Colorado's gas prices.
