Oklahoma Gas Prices, Etc...
"The Perry, Oklahoma gas stations posted higher gas prices Thursday at $2.099 and have kept them up. The oil companies must be looking for extra profits during the holiday season. Some of us would just like to break even.
Property taxes have been raised here this year; natural gas prices for home heating are higher than ever; and our city wants us to vote for a sales tax increase to build a new expo center just after we recently voted for tax increases to build a new jail.
We just finished paying off a modernization of the hospital (even though it was already among the top 100 hospitals in the nation just 3 years ago).
Our city is really one of the best places (in the area) to live but I hope we don't spoil it. We've almost always had the lowest taxes in our area and a lower cost of living but that may change if we're not careful." -- Roy
