Duchess & Sadie's Domain

Hope you all are keeping cool, staying out of the Oklahoma heat during the "Dog Days of Summer."

This week we are sharing a photo of a panting pug, Sadie, taken 24 July 2010, out at the Fairvalley pond, in Northwest Oklahoma. Ain't she sweet posing and panting in the Oklahoma Summer heat. Thank goodness we are back in cool Colorado.

NW Okie's Ramblings

We have continued our sculpturing on our Eagle Totem. We are now up to Day 16th sculpturing. Lately we have done some body shaping of the Eagle and shaped in the legs, claws of the Eagle so that our soaring eagle might be able to land and take a load off of its wings in flight.

Western League Association (1905 Oklahoma)

1905 League -- Teams in Joplin, Missouri, Leavenworth, Kansas, Sedalia, Missouri, Springfield, Missouri, and Topeka, Kansas joined from the Missouri Valley League. Teams from Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma joined from the Southwestern League. A new team in Wichita, Kansas formed and joined the league.
