NW Okie's Corner

Usually my mornings start with getting up early, in the cool mountain air; feeding my dogs; giving my plants an early morning watering and checking my greenhouse veggies. Lately though, I have not had to do much watering because of the afternoon monsoons that have arrived in Southwest Colorado rockies.

South Texas League

[Photo on the left is a 1906 photograph of the Austin Senators, with my grandpa, William "Bill" McGill on the back row, fourth from the left.]

The South Texas League was a class C baseball minor league from 1903-1906. Back then it was comprised of four teas for its first three years, expanding to six teams in its final season.
