With Suffrage is combined liability for military duty making Arizona Women the real Militant Suffragette. We had a few interesting emails this week concerning the "Old Sam Lindsay" home place south of Monterey, Virginia. We did found out that the 77.9 acre someplace and old house are "For Sale!" It is a three bedroom a bath home that sets next to the highway 220, south of Monterey, Virginia. Highland County Virginia - Schools & Professions
As to this week's look back at Highland County, Virginia schoolhouse, that is unknown. But the earliest teacher of whom we know about was William Steuart. Steuart taught regularly from the time of his arrival about 1755, and appeared to have been well educated, especially in mathematics. Butterfield Overland Trail
Remembering the Butterfield Overland Trail, the longest stagecoach route from Tipton, Missouri to San Francisco, California of yesterday. The route took passengers and mail from Tipton, Missouri through Arkansas and then turning west to end in San Francisco. South Texas League Baseball - 1906
