This is an old postcard, of Alva, Woods, Oklahoma businesses that lined the downtown square of Alva. Each view shows a different side (North, South, East and West) of the square with businesses across from the square during the early days of Alva. Not quite sure of the date, though. Sunday night, at 11:53 P.M. EST (9:53 MST), was the FULL WOLF MOON! January is the month of the Full Wolf Moon. It appeared when wolves howled in hunger outside the villages. It is also known as the Old Moon. To some Native American tribes, this was the Snow Moon, but most applied that name to the next full Moon, in February. Tribute To Alpha G. Updegraff
