1896, October - Gold Bug Argument

It was in The Labor World, dated 17 October 1896, that we found this "Gold Bug Argument," where Teddy Roosevelt, the fellow with an eye-glass, who reformed the police force of New York, called the silver men "Shiftless, vice, hopelessly ignorant and thick-headed."

All of which they were saying proved that free coinage of silver would not raise the price of wheat.
