NW Okie's Journey
While heading back to Vallecito Lake, Monday afternoon, after my post-masectomy physical therapy treatment (for shoulder issues) earlier this morning, I spotted these two eagles perched on the top of their dead pine tree, along County Road 501, at Vallecito Lake, North of Bayfield, Colorado.
This is just one of the beauties of nature we are privileged in seeing, experiencing in the Southwest Rockies of Colorado.
After the first physical therapy, I could notice some small improvement in the mobility of my right shoulder. I know the six week journey will be a slow process of small improvements, getting my right shoulder and arm performing as well as my left arm, shoulder does now.
On 2 March 2014, I head back towards Houston, Texas Medical Center to get the expander removed and replaced (11 March) with the permanent implant. Also, with some reconstruction, tucking of the left breast.
I am thankful for my Medicare and AARP/Unitedhealthcare supplemental, that has allowed me to affordably get my stage1a breast cancer under control.
I wish that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) could be refined to a "Single Payer" or "Universal Healthcare" plan, or even open medicare for everyone.
Good Night, Good Luck!
