1917 - Western Suffragist Heads Thrift Campaign
Ever heard of Mrs. Walter Miller, chairman of the new National Suffrage Association thrift committee, who was so-operating with Herbert C. Hoover, head of the food board in the United States, in 1917, ending food wastage.
Mrs. Miller was Vice president of the National American Woman Suffrage association and wife of Prof. Miller of the University of Missouri. This information was also found in The Day Book, 28 April 1917.
